We can barely contain our excitement here at Dickinson Waugh as we announce our appointment as architectural and historic building consultants to the Betty’s & Taylor Group.

A trip to Harrogate or even everything the magnificent city of York has to offer isn’t complete without tea and scones at Betty’s Tea Rooms.

Our work on Little Betty’s of Stonegate in York has begun with proposals progressing well. From this we hope to be involved with this wonderful client for many years to come.

Dickinson Waugh Architecture celebrated 10 years in practice in September 2011…..How time flies!

It all started, as most great things do; with a chat over a pint in a pub…..what was our common goal? Simply put – Nice work for nice people. We had no idea if such a modest aim was enough to even put food on the table, let alone be commercially successful but we’re still here, thriving and looking forward to what the future holds……….it certainly looks peachy at the moment.

So what does this milestone mean in real terms? It’s merely a period of time and signifies nothing other than clearly we’re an established practice with a solid portfolio under our belts, but more than that, it gives clients confidence, it says that we’re good at what we do, we’re experienced and after 10 years, our passion and commitment is well ingrained.

What else is there to say then?……Here’s to the next 10.

This is a cliché that’s resonated with Mark and I recently. General feedback for the new web site has been excellent, but one criticism seems to be raised more and more……”you don’t do small projects”

NONSENSE!!!

It’s simply the fact that the bigger projects photograph better and we’re ashamed to admit that the prestige element got the better of us on this occasion.

Let all of our prospective clients with more modest proposals be reassured that each project crossing our doorstep is considered as important as the last. Your project is the most important thing to you, how dare we take that responsibility lightly?

The challenge is in the project. We’ll be adding some more of our work to the website soon. Watch this space.
